Manitoba RCMP responded to three fatal vehicle collisions on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Police say that just before 3:00 pm a 69-year-old male was ejected from his pickup truck after entering a ditch and rolling on Road 109 W, one kilometre north of Highway 5, near Dauphin
The driver was not wearing his seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven hours later, around 9:50 pm a 32-year-old man from Winnipeg lost his life on Highway 1 near the Assiniboine River Bridge, near Portage la Prairie, when he lost control of the vehicle, entered a ditch and was ejected as the vehicle rolled. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At 11:15 pm officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 52 and Road 32 E, about two kilometres west of Steinbach. The 37-year-old female driver of a southbound vehicle entered the intersection and was hit by a westbound vehicle. The southbound driver from Mitchell, Manitoba was pronounced dead at the scene the driver of the westbound vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
