RCMP came to the rescue of three hikers on the Mantario Trail after they called for help Saturday evening, July 25, 2020.
The male hikers had set out on the trail Friday evening but by Saturday evening began to experience signs of severe heat stroke say police.
STARS were called to the area but were unable to due to nightfall and a lack of a landing zone.

The hikers remained in contact with the RCMP by cellphone throughout the night.
On Sunday police chartered a helicopter and found the men at the tip of Mantario Lake. All three were taken to Lac du Bonnet where emergency medical crews treated them. One of the men had to be taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
