On Friday, January 6, 2023, Falcon Beach RCMP were called about several puppies near Highway 308 and Highway 503.
Officers with help from Rural Animal Management Services (RAMS), K9 Advocates Manitoba and several community members searched the area and found 10 purebred golden retriever puppies shivering in the cold but otherwise in good health.
There is no information on who the owner of the puppies is or why they were allegedly abandoned at the side of the road.
