RCMP have arrested five people in connection to a drug raid on Peguis First Nation on Friday morning, September 20. 2019. Peguis is about 190 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Around 6:30 am officers along with the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a home within the first nation community.
Police seized 48 grams of Cocaine, 250 grams of Cannabis, a large sum of cash, two handguns, one shotgun and one high powered rifle.
Charges are pending on four males and one female who were taken into custody.
RCMP continue to investigate.
