Reacting to information from the Canada Border Services Agency that they had seized a prohibited device, RCMP raided a Beausejour residence on December 9, 2020.

Officers from several units including the East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) and the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST)  executed a search warrant and seized several firearms, ammunition, a prohibited weapon and stolen property.

A 23-year-old male was taken into custody and charged for his alleged involvement with several firearm and property offences including Importing a Prohibited Device.

The accused was released by police and is scheduled to appear in court next March.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
