RCMP at the Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg pulled an unruly passenger off a flight that had diverted to Winnipeg on January 3, 2024.
According to police, an Air Canada flight was en route from Toronto to Calgary when a 16-year-old male passenger from Alberta allegedly assaulted an adult male family member. Airline staff and passengers on board the aircraft were able to restrain the teen following the assault.
The teen was arrested and taken to hospital for a medical evaluation. The adult passenger was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
