RCMP say that approximately 2:05 am on Friday April 10, 2020 police were patrolling on Highway 9 when they noticed a suspicious vehicle near Grassmere Road.
A traffic stop was initiated near Neltner Drive and Lara Lane.
RCMP say that while attempting to stop the vehicle a collision occurred and one officer discharged their sidearm.
The suspect vehicle was able to flee and RCMP began a pursuit. An RCMP patrol unit was able to disable the suspect vehicle by driving into it.
Two suspects took off on foot.
A Police Service Dog was called in and began searching for the two fugitives
One suspect was apprehended but place say they are still searching for the second suspect.
RCMP say none of their officers were injured during the incident.
