After an investigation by the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) of Manitoba, a member of the RCMP has been charged with perjury.
The IIU began their investigation after a complaint about an officer’s testimony given in an Arborg court.
The investigation concluded that there are reasonable grounds to believe that a criminal offence had occurred.
Constable Paul Lacoursiere was arrested and formally charged for his alleged involvement.
He was released and will appear in court on August 10, 2020.
