Police find drugs and imitation weapons
During the evening of Friday June 23, 2017 RCMP set up a checkstop on Highway 1 and Provincial Road 207 just east of Winnipeg.
Just after midnight officers stopped a vehicle driven by a man who had a suspended driver’s licence. Police searched the vehicle and found 211 grams of methamphetamine an imitation hand gun and drug paraphernalia.
35 year old Wilfred Galvin was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Failure to Comply with a Probation Order and four counts of Failure to Comply with a Recognizance.
Galvin was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday June 26, 2017.
