RCMP were called to Stony Mountain Institution Monday evening for the report of a stabbing.
Police say a 29-year-old inmate entered another inmate’s cell. When he came out he had been stabbed.
The inmate was taken to hospital in serious condition but police say his injuries were not life-threatening. The inmate remains in hospital in stable condition.
The investigation continues.
