RCMP in Portage la Prairie responded to a shots fired call around 9:10 pm on Wednesday. October 8, 2020, on Saskatchewan Avenue.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a 38-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital in Winnipeg in stable condition.
Investigators say that witnesses reported seeing two males dressed in black running from the area.
