RCMP from Lundar were called to a home on the Lake Manitoba First Nation on Thursday evening after receiving a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived they found a 35-year-old woman who was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have arrested a 20-year-old male in connection to the death. He has been detained in custody.
RCMP continue to investigate.
