RCMP responded a collision that involved two snowmobiles on Thursday evening, February 20, 2020, on Highway 45 just west of Elphinstone, Manitoba. Elphinstone is about 275 kilometres away from Winnipeg.
Police say that both drivers were travelling beside each other when they went over a steep embankment and were seriously injured when they collided with the ground.
A 44-year-old male from Strathclair and a 20-year-old male from the RM of Yellowhead were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The 20-year-old male died from his injuries on February 24, 2020.
The investigation continues.
