RCMP investigating the death of a pedestrian on Highway 6

Early Thursday morning, December 12, 2019, Police received a 911 call about a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 6.

Police say that around 1:30 am a 54-year-old female was driving northbound on Highway 6, about two kilometres north of Hilbre, Manitoba when she struck a male who had been walking on the highway.

Investigators say the female driver immediately stopped and called police.

RCMP have not yet been able to identify the male who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not a factor in the investigation.
