RCMP investigating fatal collision on Highway 3

RCMP is investigating a three-vehicle that claimed the life of a 65-year-old Winnipeg man in the RM of Stanley.

Around 1:00 pm on Friday June 4, 2021, the collision occurred between two semi-trailer and an SUV on Highway 3 near Road 15N.

Police say one of the semi trucks was travelling southbound when it collided with a northbound semi which caused that vehicle to collide with the SUV. The northbound semi and SUV entered the ditch and caught fire.

The male driver of the SUV from Winnipeg was declared dead at the scene. A 63-year-old female passenger in the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver of the northbound truck suffered minor injuries while the driver of the southbound semi was not injured.

RCM continue to investigate
