Pembina Valley RCMP is investigating the stabbing of a 23-year-old male at the Patterson Pits in the RM of Roland on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Officers were called to the scene around 12:30 am and when they arrived they encountered a large group of people before locating the injured male.
The male was taken to Winnipeg by paramedics with serious injuries.
Police say that the victim and an 18-year-old male were fighting and when the fight ended the victim had suffered wounds consistent with those from an edged weapon. Police say they have not recovered a weapon.
Officers arrested and charged Chris Goossen from Winkler for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault.
