Steinbach RCMP are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that happened around 8:45 am on Monday, December 13, 2021.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 12 and Park Road West in Steinbach.

Police say a 64-year-old female from Winnipeg was found laying on the roadway suffering from serious injuries. She was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Police say that it appears the victim was attempting to cross Highway 12 the a concrete pump truck turned north onto Highway 12 from Park Road West and struck the pedestrian.

The 25-year-old driver of the truck stopped and remained at the scene. He has been charged for his alleged involvement with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Causing Bodily Harm.

RCMP continue to investigate.
