At approximately 10:10 am on Friday, August 15, 2024, Ste Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a call on Road 84 West, where they discovered a 41-year-old male deceased from a self-inflicted injury.
While officers were still on the scene at 10:40 am, they received another call requesting a well-being check on a 37-year-old female. Officers promptly attended her residence, but she was not found there.
The search led officers to a nearby residence, where they made a grim discovery. Three individuals, a 66-year-old female, a 65-year-old male, and a 35-year-old male, were found deceased. Their deaths are being investigated as homicides.
The RCMP deployed numerous resources to the area to continue the search for the missing female. At 1:00 pm, she was safely located and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The RCMP has confirmed that all individuals involved were known to each other and that these incidents are related. Police are not looking for any other suspects at this time.
Police have not released the identity of the victims
