RCMP are investigating a homicide on Fisher Branch Cree Nation related to an incident on November 6, 2021, at a residence in the community.
Officers were called to the home around 2:50 am and when they arrived found an 18-year-old female suffering life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries.
The female was taken hospital but died from her injuries the next day.
RCMP are treating her death as a homicide and continue to investigate.
