RCMP has identified the remains found in the Burntwood River in Thompson on September 28, 2022, as 62-year-old Steven Linklater.

Linklater had been missing since September 13, 2022.

His body was found by a group of people from Gods Lake Narrows who were conducting a search for a different person from their community.

Police say that Linklater’s death does not appear to be criminal in nature.
