RCMP | COPS SAVE SKUNK

In a what can be described as an “Only in Canada” moment members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police came to the rescue of an animal in distress.

Years of training and compassion for all creatures lead Cst. Kyle Van De Sype to pull over and help save a life. He was on his way home after a hard day of fighting crime in the metropolis of Winnipegosis, when he observed a starving skunk with a Tim Horton’s cup stuck on its head.

Out of concern or possibly fearing for his safety Van De Sype called in his back-up: Cst. Catlin Lang.

The two members pondered their options and formulated a detailed rescue plan. After implementing the high-risk “tarp & trap” manoeuver, the cup was removed and the skunk was set free with the ability to eat again. No officers were sprayed during this incident.

All kidding aside.. good job officers Van De Sype & Lang.
