RCMP continue to search for homicide suspect

Just before 11:00 pm on Monday June 14, 2021, RCMP say that they now consider Eric Wildman a suspect in the homicide of Clifford Joseph.

Police say they are involved in extensive efforts tonight to take Wildman safely into custody.

Earlier in the evening Manitoba RCMP has issued a media release that said an arrest warrant for 34-year-old Eric Paul Wildman had been issued.

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, police said they were looking for Wildman as a “person of interest” in connection to the disappearance of Clifford Joseph in the RM of St. Clements.

Investigators have released more information in connection to the case and have formally charged Wildman after searching his vehicle.

During the search officers uncovered firearms along with police tactical equipment, police patches and other police type clothing. Investigators do not know if has any other police related clothing or equipment.

Wildman has been formally charged with Unsafe Transportation of a Firearm as well as the Possession of a Prohibited Device without a License. 

Wildman was last seen in East Kildonan. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police warn he should not be approached.
