A 17-year-old male has been charged with several weapons offences after an incident at Steinbach Regional Secondary School on Monday, May 2, 2022.
RCMP say they were called to the school around 9:40 am for the report of a student that had brought a handgun and bear spray to school. Allegedly the suspect sprayed the bear spray several times off school property in the presence of other students.
When officers arrived they determined the handgun was a BB gun an seized it along with the bear spray.
No physical injuries were reported.
