RCMP attacked after two children abducted by biological parents

RCMP in Steinbach say that two children under two years old were abducted by their biological parents after a supervised visit in the RM of Hanover on Monday morning, March 23, 2020.

Police were told that the suspects were believed to be heading to the Roseau River area.

Officers found the vehicle at a home in the RM of Emmerson-Franklin and as they pulled up to the address they were met by eight people who surrounded the officers and began to attack them.

The officers were outnumbered but were able to arrest two of the assailants and then get themselves out of the immediate area.
