Police still looking for a 12 year old boy in connection to fires
A 13 year old teen has been arrested in relation to two fires set on different evenings in Selkirk
Police say that on May 8, 2017 around 9:00 pm the boys allegedly set a dump truck on fire at a business on Pittsburg Avenue. Although no injuries were reported in the incident the truck and a nearby vehicle received extensive damage.
Less than 24 hours later, on May 9, 2017, RCMP received a repot of the canteen in Selkirk Park on fire. Again there were no injuries but the building was destroyed in the blaze
Investigations in the fires showed that both were deliberately set.
The 13-year-old male is charged with three counts of Arson for the two vehicles and the canteen. He has been released pending a future court date.
Police are still looking for a 12 year old male in connection to the fires.
