RCMP arrest suspect in the killing of Bud Paul

The 36-year-old female suspect in the killing of 56-year-old Bud Paul in August of this year was arrested by RCMP on Sunday December 20, 2020.

Police say they found the woman in Winnipeg and she was taken to RCMP Headquarters for questioning.

Bud Paul’s remains were found in Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation on August 11. He was last seen at a Liquor Mart in Neepawa on August 1, 2020, in the company of a male and a female. His vehicle was discovered burned in Winnipeg the day before his remains were found.

RCMP say that although the female remains a suspect in the killing she was released on Monday without any charges being laid.

RCMP continue to investigate.

Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call the tip line at (431) 489-8551.
