RCMP have arrested and charged a 29-year-old male on drug-related offences after intercepting a bus en route to Thompson on January 20, 2021.
Police say the bus travelling from Winnipeg to Thompson was boarded while it was stopped at a gas station in Grand Rapids as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
A search of the suspect uncovered more than 200 oxycodone pills, 142 grams of cocaine and a cutting agent.
Mohamud Ahmed Abdi from Toronto, Ontario has been charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Possession for the purpose of Trafficking, two counts of Trafficking, Obstruction and three counts of Failing to Comply.
He was detained in custody.
