RCMP are searching an abandoned property in San Clara, about 441 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg, in connection to the disappearance of 41-year-old Melinda Lynxleg in March 2020.
Police say that they believe Lynxleg is deceased and they are treating her case as a homicide.
Investigators say that new information led them to the property in San Clara and they began searching it on Monday, June 5, 2023. Multiple units Winton the RCMP are working in the area and following up on the new information.
Police won’t say specifically what they are looking for but assure the public there is no public safety threat.
