RCMP say that they charged 25 people with driving while impaired. Of those 23 were arrested on alcohol-related charges and 2 for impaired by drugs. One of those individuals was more than three and a half times above the legal limit with a blood alcohol of .27. In Manitoba, the legal limit is .o8.

Police also charge three people who refused to take the test.

A number of people also had their licences immediately suspended roadside. RCMP say that eight tiered administrative roadside suspensions were handed out.

Improperly storing alcohol or cannabis in a vehicle resulted in charges for nine people while ten more were charged for using a hand-held electronic device while driving.

Police also ticketed four people for not wearing a seatbelt.

Police services across the province will be conducting Checkstops throughout the holiday season.
