Wanted for parole violation
The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Rainie James SEMPLE, also known as Rene James Everett, 43 years of age, a convicted sex offender who is considered at high risk to re‑offend in a sexual and/or violent manner.
Mr. SEMPLE is wanted on a Canada-wide Correctional Services of Canada warrant for parole revocation. He failed to return for his curfew on the evening of Thursday, December 29, 2016.
Semple was released on parole after serving a sentence at the Stony Mountain Institution on December 19, 2016.
He has a lengthy history of violent and sexual offences. Although he has participated in some treatment programming in the past, SEMPLE is still considered at high risk to re-offend in a sexual and/or violent manner. Although all persons are at risk, females are at particular risk.
