Just before midnight on October 9, 2019 Brandon Police tried to stop a vehicle that was travelling westbound on Victoria Avenue in the Eastbound lane. The driver refused to stop.
Officers initiated a pursuit and followed the driver as he left the city then returned. Police say the suspect was driving in a dangerous manner throughout the pursuit. He was seen travelling in the wrong lane and speeding.

A Brandon Police Service Dog pursued the suspect through a number of yards before the man claimed onto a roof on Almond Cres.
Trying to still get away the suspect jumped off the roof but suffered injuries and was taken into custody. He was transported to Brandon Regional Health Centre and treated.
Police say the 22-year-old suspect was wanted on a warrant which would revoke his parole. He is now also facing charges for Dangerous Driving and Flight from Police.
The suspect was detained at the Brandon Correctional Centre pending a court appearance.
