Winnipeg Police are looking for a male in his 20’s who stole a purse from a 69-year-old woman in the Burrows Central area of the city.
It happened during the evening of September 29, 2018, when the victim was getting her mail from a community mailbox. The male suspect approached her and demanded the keys to her parked vehicle and stole her purse that was on the passenger seat. As the victim tried to grab the purse back the suspect overpowered her and took off on foot.
The next day police say that the victim’s bank cards were used by a male at a number of locations around Winnipeg.
Police are asking for help identifying the suspect in surveillance images that were taken while he was using the victim’s bank cards.
He is described as Indigenous in appearance, 5’6″ tall with a thin build. He has a moustache with short hair and a tattoo on his right hand.
