PUBLIC ADVISORY | POLICE WARN OF TWO SEXUAL OFFENDERS BEING RELEASED

The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) a joint unit of the Winnipeg Police and RCMP are warning the public today of two sexual offenders who will be released in the next few days.

James Sheldon JASPER, 40 will be released from Milner Ridge Correctional Centre on December 18, 2016.

Jasper, a convicted sex offender, is considered high risk to sexually re-offend against all children, particularly male children. Upon release, JASPER will be subject to a three year supervised probation order, until December 17, 2019.

Rainie James SEMPLE, also known as Rene James Everett, 43 will be released from serving a sentence at the Stony Mountain Institution, Manitoba, on December 19, 2016.

SEMPLE has a lengthy history of violent and sexual offences. Although he has participated in some treatment programming in the past, SEMPLE is still considered at high risk to re-offend in a sexual and/or violent manner. Although all persons are at risk, females are at particular risk.

MIHRSOU say the information is being released on these two individuals so that the public can protect themselves. They also warn that any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct directed at James Sheldon JASPER or Raine James SEMPLE will not be tolerated.
