The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved an application from Centra Gas Manitoba to decrease the primary gas rate effective August 1, 2022.
The decrease amounts to approximately 1.9 per cent of $16 per year for the typical residential customer.
The decrease to the rate id due to decreases to prices in the North American natural gas market.
The PUB noted that customers who have signed a fixed-term fixed-price contract with Centra or a private broker are not affected.
