Manitobans eager to embrace the outdoors can mark their calendars as provincial park campground reservations open in a staggered five-day rollout, starting April 7, announced Environment and Climate Change Minister Mike Moyes.
“Spring is here, and Manitobans are looking forward to spending quality time in nature,” stated Moyes. “This year, as Canadians are choosing to explore closer to home, Manitoba’s provincial parks offer incredible destinations for adventure, relaxation, and discovery. Last week, our government was pleased to announce in Budget 2025 we are making parks entry free for one year.”
Anticipating high demand, the reservation system will open in phases to ease the booking process. Campers are advised to update their online accounts, review reservation rules, and explore campsite photos and descriptions on the Parks Reservation Service before opening day.
Reservations will be available starting at 7 a.m. each day online at www.manitobaparks.com and by phone at 204-948-3333 (in Winnipeg) or 1-888-482-2267 (toll-free) according to the following schedule:
- Monday, April 7: Cabins, yurts, and group-use areas.
- Tuesday, April 8: Birds Hill, Winnipeg Beach, and Grand Beach campgrounds.
- Wednesday, April 9: All Whiteshell Provincial Park campgrounds.
- Thursday, April 10: Northern and western campgrounds, including Asessippi, Bakers Narrows, and Spruce Woods (Kiche Manitou).
