Province reminds people to be ‘COVID careful’ this coming long weekend

As Manitobans make plans to visit their cottages or venture out to provincial parks and campgrounds the one thing that should be on their minds is to be ‘COVID careful’.

Dr Brent Roussin, chief provincial public health officer advises that social distancing continues to be practised. That means limiting group gatherings, avoid unnecessarily travel but if you do travel bring everything you need with you and limit going to healthcare facilities unless it is an emergency.

If you feel ill or develop symptoms that may be COVID related return home immediately.

Visitors to provincial parks are reminded that you must bring your own supplies including soap, sanitizer, hygiene products and toilet paper, to campgrounds, yurts and cabins. They are also reminded to bring sandals or water shoes to use in shower facilities.
