Students, parents and teachers can access online informational materials as they prepare to return to school across the province on September 8, 2020.
“We have developed a Restoring Safe Schools information package to help address the most frequently asked questions and areas of concerns, and grouped the answers for easy access,” said Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen. “We commend teachers and staff who are returning to schools this week to make schools and classrooms as COVID-19 safe as possible for students returning on Sept. 8.”
The information packages will provide parents and guardians an understanding of what they can expect when school resumes next week.
A Mask Use Guide will provide information on the use of masks in school and on school buses, when you put masks on and what do you do when they become soiled.
The province has also put together a guide on the COVID-19 response level will effect their day-to-day school routines.
When schools return they will all be under the Pandemic Response System risk level of caution (yellow), including schools in Prairie Mountain Health region. The caution designation means masks are required in schools for those in grades 4-12 as well as teachers and staff.
