Manitoba continues to issue fines to people who are ignoring public health restrictions across the province.
Between May 17 to May 23, 2021, 130 warnings and 102 tickets were issued to people violating public health orders related to COVID-19.
According to enforcement officials 96 $1,296 tickets were issued of which 88 were related to private gatherings, three for people failing to self-isolate, two for unnecessary northern travel and three to businesses.
The province also ticketed six people $298 for failure to wear a mask in indoor public places.
Manitoba Justice says that 22 more people received $1,296 tickets related to rallies in Winnipeg.
Since enforcement began in April 2020, 4,358 warnings and 1,526 tickets have been issued. The total amount of fines is more than $2.1 million.
