PROTESTERS TO ATTEND CELL TOWER MEETING

Residents from River Heights intend on bringing their concerns to a meeting being held about a proposed cell tower Wednesday night.

A contractor for MTS sent out letters to 19 residences in the immediate area around Niagara and Grosvenor describing the project.

The tower will be 18 Metres tall and be situated on property that is already owned by MTS. MTS says it will not be a typical tower, it will be encased inside a brick chimney and will fit in with the neighbourhood.

Residents have said that they plan to protest against the proposal at a meeting that has been called by MTS. The meeting is open to the public and begins Wednesday at 6pm  at the Corydon Community Centre on Grosvenor Avenue.
