Parents and students band together in attempt to sway government
Hundreds of parents and students turned out on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 to protest the government’s decision to pull funding from construction of a new gym at Kelvin High School.

The funding had been approved under the previous government but was yanked earlier this year along with improvements to Dakota Collegiate’s athletic field.
The project was going to add a 17,000 square foot gym for a cost of $6.7 million. Fundraising efforts from the community had already raised $1.2 million.
