RCMP raid Winnipeg home seize drugs, cash and vehicle

Selkirk RCMP raided a Winnipeg home after seven month investigation into a drug network supplying communities in the Interlake.

Project Deteriorate began in November 2018 after police discovered the drug network being operated from Selkirk and Winnipeg.

“The impact of this investigation is far reaching and has affected the drug supply chain to various Interlake communities,” said Inspector Allan Hofland, Officer in Charge of Selkirk RCMP. “Our communities are seeing the negative impacts that stem from the drug trade such as property crime, assaults, robberies, and home invasions.”

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, police executed a search warrant and seized more than two kilograms of Meth, a small quantity of fentanyl, $25,000 in cash, a taser and a Chevy Trax,

A 34-year-old male, a 56-year-old male and a 36-year-old female were arrested and charged with a number of offences related to drug trafficking and property offences. The female was also charged with several weapons offences.

Police say that the investigation is continuing and they expect to make more arrests in the case.

All three suspects were detained in custody.
