Prichard Avenue vacant house fire under investigation

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to fire in a vacant house in the 200 block of Prichard Avenue around 2:08 am Tuesday morning, July 28, 2020.

When crews arrived on scene they were met with heavy flames and smoke coming from the building.

An offensive attack was launched but conditions inside the structure forced crews to transition to a defensive attack and fight the blaze form the outside. The fire was quickly knocked down and declared under control by 3:08 am

No injuries were reported

The WFPS fire investigator was on scene looking into the cause of the blaze.
