Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a three-storey residence on Prichard Avenue early Tuesday morning, December 24, 2019.
Firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the structure as they arrived.
A defensive attack was initiated. As conditions improved crews were able to transition into an offensive attack. The fire was under control just before 3:30 am.
The residents inside the building were able to get themselves out before fire crews arrived.
Damage to the home is significant from smoke, water and fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
