Hundreds of homes were without power in parts of River Heights over night.

Power was knocked out during the height of the storm system that passed through the area just after midnight.

Fire and hydro crews were responding to reports of downed power lines, vehicle accidents and lightning strikes.

Power has been restored but hydro reports scattered outages throughout the province.
