Potential COVID-19 exposure at Winnipeg City Hall

Members of the Executive Policy Committee, City of Winnipeg staff, delegates and media were informed by the City that they may have been exposed to COVID-19 while attending an EPC meeting on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

The City says that those who were in attendance in the council chamber do not need to self-isolate but they do need to monitor for symptoms and follow public health guidelines if they begin to experience symptoms.

The City says that the council chambers have undergone a through cleaning using an antistatic fogging system.

Policies in place require anyone who is inside City Hall to be fully vaccinated, wear a mask and maintain a distance of six feet between anyone else.
