RCMP are looking for a male in his 50s after a 29-year-old female told police she had been abducted.

On March 15, 2019 the woman was walking along Crescent Avenue around 2:30 pm when she was approached by a man in a vehicle asking for directions.

The suspect then forced the woman into his vehicle and drove down various back roads. The victim was able to convince the man to take her to a restaurant in Portage la Prairie. Once in the restaurant, the woman was able to distance herself from the man and seek help from a customer. The customer helped the woman to safety and call police.

The suspect is described as in his 50s, wearing a grey sweater or hoody with a green hat and possible green pants.he was driving a blue Toyota with rust over the rear passenger side wheel.
