RCMP in Portage la Prairie are searching for four suspects after a man told them he had been shot with a pellet gun.

It happened at a home on 10th Street NE late Monday night, May 6, 2019.

Officers began an investigation and learned from the local hospital that the 20-year-old victim had actually been shot by a real firearm.

Investigators say that three males and one female, dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves, went into the home and made threats against the victim before one of them shot him.

The suspects then took off on foot.

Police say that they believe the victim had been targeted.
