Winnipeg Police Tactical Support Team responded to an incident in front of the University of Winnipeg today around 10:45 am, August 13, 2019.
Witnesses tell News 4 that what sounded like a gunshot was heard prior to police arriving on scene however police said in an email that no shots were fired.
Police converged on the area and quickly placed a female and two males into custody

One of the males was released by officers about 20 minutes later after they searched a red backpack belonging to the man.
Police said they will not be releasing any other details on the incident.
