Winnipeg Police had the eastbound lanes of Portage Avenue closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon as they reconstructed an accident that had occurred earlier in the day.
All lanes of eastbound Portage Ave at Sherbrook will be closed to traffic from 3:00 pm to approx. 7:00 pm today for accident reconstruction.

A two-vehicle collision happened early this morning around 6:30 am at Portage and Sherbrook. One passenger was injured and taken to hospital in stable condition but over the course of the day, her condition got worse.
Police were able to do their work fairly quickly and by about 4:30 all lanes were reopened to traffic. Traffic in the are was slow and took most of rush hour to ease.
The is no update on the condition of the injured passenger
