RCMP are investigating a fatal fire in Poplar River that happened around 3:00 am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
According to police, the house was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived on the scene. The local fire department was battling the fire when it was reported an adult male could be inside the structure.
Once the fire was extinguished a body was located inside the home. An sutopsy has been ordered and the deceased was sent to Winnipeg.
RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner are continuing to investigate.
